Google has a new service called Google Print for Libraries. They've made a deal with five large libraries to scan in most of their books to create an index along the lines of Google's web index. Predictably, the Authors' Guild has filed a suit to try to make them stop. There's a variety of issues involved, some of which I'll try to address in subsequent messages, but once you cut through the bombast, the crux of the issue is that they think they deserve to be paid.posted at: 23:58 :: permanent link to this entry :: 0 comments Trackback link is http://weblog.johnlevine.com/Copyright_Law/tollbooth.trackback
